A Rumble in the Jungle

Insights are the key factor solving problems and driving authenticity, but they aren’t pure data or research. Insights are the specific story that is unlocked when data and deep learning come together.

Here’s our insight-informed trailer for Rematch’s award-winning experience

Teasing with Trailers

We signed up with By Nevele and Trevor Beattie to help promote Rumble in the Jungle. This is Rematch’s “Sporting time-machine”, a one-of-a-kind theatrical remake of the Muhammed Ali’s, 1974 Ali Vs Foreman rumble.

Dubbed, part-theatre show, part-festival, the iconic sporting moment was the heart that brought in the primary audience of ‘Sports fans’; and the immersive format appealed to the secondary audience of ‘Theatre-goers’. But Rematch’s tertiary audience of ‘Diverse communities, particularly the African diaspora in London’, needed a more authentic pull than the established marketing materials.

The tailor was perfectly reflective of the most exciting moments of the IP.

This African authenticity has helped create a diverse audience demographic for each show, which is often more than 50% Black.

Really insightful, Very authentic

Alongside By Nevele’s creative direction, we developed the creative and art direction with relevant and specific cultural insights. We unearthed the gems that made the time, location and moment so unique: Congo, the Zaire 74 music festival, and the unforgettable 1970's. It was all in the details.

A lot of the Black London community who are coming have Congolese family or an African background – so they are coming with that expectation and they are blown away by the authenticity.

Boom, they’re in!

From Congolese food, to regional textiles; from the airport experience, to party styling, our Rematch trailer created the attraction that was missing.

Over 58,000 attendees visited the not-to-be-missed (again) event and Rematch met their business goal of developing a new, successful IP for exploitation.

We even had someone from the Congolese embassy who was very complimentary of the attention to detail.
